Haryana Farmers heading towards Israel for farming tips

New Collage5.psdSirsa, Haryana:   Two groups of 25-30 farmers will proceed to Israel for agricultural training especially modern technology in irrigation and cultivation. The Israel government has shown interest in the project as Israeli Ambassador Alon Ushpiz kept the proposal to Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on the occasion of the inauguration of Centre of Excellence for Fruits (CEF).

Accepting the proposal Hooda said, “It is necessary to adopt technologies that use less water and gives more yields as land holdings in the state is gradually shrinking.” Hooda referred Israel as an ideal country for agriculture where water scarcity has been defeated by modern technologies.

On the occasion Alon Ushpiz said, “When we talk to people of Haryana, we feel that we are talking to our brothers.” He also thanked Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar for promoting agriculture cooperation between two countries.
